On 10 October, +Pinhal brought together a group of walkers to explore the trails of the Ovar Dune Pine Forest. Guided by José Elvas, they immersed themselves in the autumn colours and scents of the pine forest. At this time of year, heather (Calluna vulgaris) paints the landscape pink, while the camarinhas (Corema album) are bearing their last fruits.
Along the route, participants also visited several areas that had been subjected to tree felling, including the controversial continuous clear-cut corridor linking Ovar’s industrial zone to the coastline.
This natural heritage needs our attention and protection!
