A walk along the trails of the Ovar Dunes Forest Perimeter, offering an opportunity to get to know this forest better and discover how the Pine Forest changes with the seasons.
Along the way, we may still be in time to find some Camarinhas, which, since the beginning of summer, have transformed the Pine Forest into a true garden of pearls. Now, they are joined by the pink hues of heather (Calluna vulgaris), a native shrub that can be found in the Ovar Pine Forest.
The walk will be guided by José Eduardo Elvas, who has an in-depth knowledge of the trails and landscapes of the Ovar Pine Forest.
Along the route, we will also pass through some of the areas that have been subject to logging, as well as the controversial continuous clear-cut corridor connecting the Ovar industrial area to the coastline, covering an area of approximately 100 hectares.
